Personally, most of the time I prefer cotton sheets. Occassionally I like flannel sheets, but they get pretty warm and I get warm quite a bit when I'm sleeping.

Being with family and friends, being snowed in (it wears out after one or two times though).

Anything where a person does not enjoy their job.
