Meh.

Meh essentially describes how I've been feeling lately. Nothing has really changed. I finally had my second Hypogastric Plexus Block. I believe I've had about 30 percent relief from the pain in my bladder. I also finally received the authorization from my insurance company for the second medication Dr. L prescribed for the Interstitial Cystitis. I also received information from the Urology office. Believe me, that only took forever. We decided that since I am just starting this medication I need to give it a chance to work before following up with Dr. L.

 After the injection I also have a follow up with the nurse practitioner. She will look into how the Neurontin is helping with my pain control. Haven't yet received the back brace. It has officially been a week since the brace was ordered, so I anticipate it will be coming within the next few days. When they fitted me for the brace, I swear I have never in my life sat up that straight! So I am anticipating that the brace will give me more pain control. I have to say since adding the pain clinic to my care team I feel like things are looking a lot more promising. At the very least, it looks as though I will have more pain control. That, my friends, is a huge blessing.

For now I'm just holding on. That's all I can do right now.
